Kohima, February 11 (MExN): The Integrated Communication & Outreach Program/photo exhibition on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was inaugurated by Adela Moa, Director, Art & Culture as the special guest at Conference Hall, Modern College, Dzüvürü, Kohima on February 11.
A DIPR report stated that the programme was organized by the Field Outreach Bureau, Bureau of Outreach & Communication, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, Kohima as a part of celebration of 75 years of India's Independence.
Adela said that Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is not only a celebration of how far the Country has come but also a reminiscence of how it began the journey as an independent nation. Adela also encouraged the gathering to come and visit the State Museum so as to enrich the knowledge of history and culture.
Guest of honour, Dr Vitsou Yano, Principal, Modern College called upon the students’ community not to study history for exams sake but instill the unique history of freedom struggle in their hearts.
Welcome address delivered by P Sophie, HoO, FOB, Kohima, special number was presented by Songs & Drama Division of I&B. Winners of the essay competition were felicitated during the programme.
