New Delhi, June 18 (MExN): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will disburse incentives worth Rs 2,000 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) at a special function here on June 19. The event marks a major milestone for the flagship employment-linked scheme, which has already supported 15 lakh jobs across the country.
Union Labour & Employment Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, along with Minister of State Shobha Karandlaje, will attend the event, which will also see the participation of beneficiary employees and employers, senior officials, and representatives from industry and workers’ organisations.
Launched on August 1, 2025, PM-VBRY aims to incentivise creation of over 3.5 crore jobs within two years, with a total outlay of Rs 99,446 crore. First-time employees are eligible for incentives up to Rs 15,000, while employers get up to Rs 3,000 per month per additional employee, four years for manufacturing firms and two years for others. The scheme covers jobs created until July 31, 2027, and targets 1.92 crore first-time entrants into the workforce.
