PMMVY enrolment drive held in Kohima Village

Kohima, December 6 (MExN): As part of Block activity for the observation of Matru Vandana Saptah 2019, an awareness programme and special enrolment drive was organized by the office of CDPO, Kohima (Tribal). The program was held in Kohima Village, Community Hall on December 6.

 

Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Kohima (Tribal), C James Ezung was the resource person. He sensitized the community members by highlighting the importance of PMMVY scheme and encouraged the AWWs and AWHs to maintain record of beneficiaries so that no eligible beneficiary was left out, said a press release from CDPO Office, Kohima Tribal.

 

This will also ensure that there is no pendency of any installment payment to the beneficiary, he added. Besides PMMVY scheme, he also highlighted the activities of Poshan Abhiyaan, the importance of regular growth monitoring of children, utility of ICDS-CAS and encouraged the community to participate in all the programmes implemented by the department.

 

Reyivolu, Sr Supervisor from CDPO office, Kohima (T) also spoke on the scheme and stressed on the objectives of PMMVY, its benefits, targeted beneficiaries, the required conditions and documents required to avail this scheme. The community was also encouraged to come forward and participate in the program by sharing information to friends, neighbors and the society at large.

 

PMMVY pamphlets were distributed and group discussion was also held. The program was chaired by Keneilhoupfenuo, Supervisor. Ruungunuo, AWW said an invocation prayer and vote of thanks was pronounced by Kevineizo, Supervisor.
