Peren, December 14 (MExN): Department of Social Welfare & Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), Peren District Cell organized a programme on Matru Vandana Saptah under the theme ‘Towards building a healthy nation-Surakshit jainini, Vikshit Dharini’ on December 9 at DC's Conference Hall, New Peren.
According to a DIPR report, DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier requested the concerned department to continue this programme with the same passion throughout the year to cover up maximum number of pregnant women in the district. He hoped that every anganwadi worker and helper will enroll maximum number of beneficiaries in their respective areas under PMMVY Schemes. He also urged the workers to work in unity and further challenged them to compete among themselves to achieve the required target.
During the felicitation programme, the Best Performing Block and Best Field Functionaries Anganwadi Centre were awarded to Ahthibung Block and Ndunglwa Centre 1 (under Peren Project).
The programme was chaired by CDPO Nsong, Watila, while brief account of MVS was shared by District Coordinator, Keyizieteing Ndang. Vote of thanks was proposed by CDPO Tening, Yanbeni.
