Kohima, December 6 (MExN): In relation to the Matru Vandana Saptah 2019, a PMMVY sensitization program was held in Peducha village on December 4 under the office of CDPO, Kohima (Tribal). The program was held at the Village Community Hall with village leaders and mothers.

 

Resource person, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Kohima (Tribal), C James Ezung sensitized the community members by highlighting the importance of PMMVY and why the scheme has been implemented.

 

He encouraged the AWWs and AWHs to prepare a list of all pregnant and lactating women and sort out the reasons as to why they are/not availing the scheme. Its purpose, a press release from CDPO office, Kohima (Tribal) said was to ensure that all deserved women are to be enrolled and find out ways to solve their problem of enrolment if any.

 

Besides PMMVY scheme, he also highlighted various departmental activities, schemes and programs implemented by the department. He encouraged the community to participate in all the schemes offered by the Department.

 

Reyivolu, Sr Supervisor from CDPO office, Kohima (T) also spoke on the scheme and stressed on the objectives of the scheme, benefits, targeted beneficiaries, required conditions and documents required to avail the scheme. The community was also encouraged to come forward and participate in this program by sharing information to friends, neighbors etc.

 

The program was chaired by Keneilhoupfenuo, Supervisor. Kevilengunuo, AWW said an invocation prayer and welcome note was said by Pfulhuca Kinyu.
