Says ‘fear and uneasiness amongst people ‘not required’
DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 25 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) today said it would be “wrong to paint the post solution scenario dark-red gloom.” “Post solution is the hope,” it added.
A press release from the NPCC President, K Therie said that there have been “too many social media posts and writers commenting on the prospective political solution.” He added that this has “created a post solution scenario filled with devils and dark-red gloom.”
Therie noted that the high degree of fear and uneasiness amongst the innocent citizens “is actually not required at all.”
“Security forces are for the safety and security of peaceful citizens. They are not a threat to peaceful people. In the given situation, no group has really gone out of solution. Negotiating teams are all for the people and surely the desire and aspirations of the people for peace and progressive life are their primary objective too,” the NPCC President said.
Therie expressed hope that “post solution,” there would be “peace, a strong and determined administration, corruption free governance, justice, equality, merit and a progressive life. Post solution is the hope for change.”
He further welcomed “realistic and honest writers’ views,” while asserting that “we only must assure we do not mislead innocent citizens.”
The NPCC president meanwhile said that it is the duty of the elected State Government of the day to guarantee safety and security of the people.
“In this situation, CM has chosen not to comment. Representing the people of Nagaland, government of the day has completely failed to outline the inner true aspirations of the people to the Government of India and the negotiating teams,” he alleged.
Therie further accused the state government of being unable to guarantee safety and security to life and property of the people; of bringing the state into bankruptcy; and development to a “total halt.”
