DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 9 (MExN): The Department of Power has informed all consumers of 9 (Nine) towns namely Kohima,Chumukedima, Dimapur, Mokokchung, Mon, Tuensang, Wokha, Zunheboto and Phek with SAP Electricity Billing system that the Data Centre has been shut down for an estimated 96 hours at a stretch which has been effected from 7 am, November 9, 2019. A press release issued by Chief Engineer, Distribution & Revenue stated that the shutdown was due to urgent server and enterprise storage and up-gradation works required at Data Centre, Guwahati as informed by the IT implementing agency-M/s TCS. This will disable the billing, online payment and collection, viewing of bills in portal, spot billing, new service connection and all on-line related activities till November 13, 7 am. Inconvenience caused to the affected consumers is regretted, the press release stated.
