It is high time that Naga people realise what is the best for the people and act with all sincerity to evolve a common solution to our Naga political problem.
Pragmatism is the need of the hour for the Nagas, if we realise what is best and suitable for us then only we can act decisively to achieve our goal. We need to be pragmatic in our approach to all our problem, and we must remove our differences and realise the reality and reason together what is best for the Nagas. This reality should be the basis for our unity and strength.
Nagas have struggled for self determination for much too long. Infact, we need a base to address and present our right to be protected and I think solution to our political problem is the answer to what we are fighting for the last century. If we remain averse to a solution to Naga problem our survival as a people and nation remain elusive, and our credibility of holding Naga identity becomes a big question.
We need to think what is best for the Nagas in general and not what is best for you as an individual. Any critical contribution, suggestion towards Naga solution at this critical juncture of Indo-Naga dialogue by all section of people will enhance good will, better understanding and a feeling of oneness. I want Naga people to introspect what really is happening in our Naga society, the system prevailing is so corrupted; there is a complete division of class between a few opportunist and poorer section of the people.
Therefore we need a change of system, a system of our own where all can critically participate in the system and involve in developing ourself. There are few people who talk about economic development for a solution to Naga problem. But can their wealth they have accumulated in the name of solution solve the Naga problem? NO. Therefore, the solution to Naga poltical problem at the earliest is imperative, and with the present Indo-Naga, a solution acceptable by the people must be arrived at with all sincerity.
This pragmatism approach will bring unity among the Naga people towards finding a lasting solution to our problem. Nagas wherever they are is emotionally integrated and emotionally united so nothing should come in between to stop the reunification of Nagas because we live by what belong to us.
