Mokokchung, March 18 (MExN): Three-day preparedness training to generate awareness and on preventive measures against the COVID-19 started on March 18 at the Conference Hall of the Chief Medical Office, Mokokchung. The training will be held batch-wise for all SMOs, MOs, and medical officers of private practitioners, DPM, BPM, DCM, CHOs, ASHA Coordinators, GNMs, ANMs and health workers
A report from the office of the CMO stated that the keynote address was delivered by Dr R Chubala Aier, CMO. She stressed on the need to have preparedness and response plan in the District.
Dr Kibangkumb, Dy CMO in his addressed added that to create mass awareness, special emphasis should be given through church platforms.
The resource persons for the training were Dr Aonungdok, MO, Dr Kilangwabang, Medicine Specialist, Dr Tsipongchem, Pathologist, Dr Tiasunep, DVBO and Dr Akumtemjen, Epidemiologist IDSP.
The trainees were trained on clinical case management, infection prevention and control, Laboratory surveillance, environmental cleaning and disinfection, risk assessment, Community surveillance, information and management, non-clinical interventions for COVID-19, SARI surveillance, travel restrictions, wash and bio medical waste management (BMWM), Epidemiology etc.
The training will culminate on March 20.
