DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 30 (MExN): The Department of Justice & Law has notified that affidavit in the Lokayukta has to be filed in the same way as documents are being filed in the proceedings before the High Court and the Supreme Court.
A DIPR report stated that the departments are not acquainted with the procedures to be followed in the matters pending and filed before the Lokayukta, particularly on account of absence of rules to be framed by the State Government in consultation with the Lokayukta.
Therefore, all such proceedings where the Lokayukta organisation issue notice to the government departments, the concerned department has to refer the files to the Secretary, Justice & Law, Nagaland for legal advice and vetting before it is filed in the Lokayukta.
