Prof Dr Soumya Chakraborty has been appointed as the first Director-cum-Dean of Nagaland Institute of Medical Science & Research Kohima (NIMSR). It was informed that her appointment order was issued on August 25, and she will be joining in the second week of September.
Minister for Health & Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom tweeted that the first academic session will start from 2023-2024. He also informed of an interaction with Dr Chakraborty today at his office chamber along with the department officials.
While wishing her the best in all her endeavours as she takes charge of NIMSR, Phom also prayed for the smooth functioning of the first medical College.
