Prominent, elderly figure of Kohima village no more

Kohima, June 15 (MExN): One of the most prominent and elderly figure of Kohima village, Salhouthie Miachieo and father of former Nagaland Minister Tseivilie Miachieo, died this evening at the age of 93. Late Salhouthie Miachieo was one of the most prominent figures among the elders of Kohima village and played a major initiative in the formation of the now famous Friends of 80 plus of Kohima village besides initiating scores of welfare programmes for his community. The funereal service will be held tomorrow at 12 noon at Khedi Baptist Church, Kohima village. Late Salhouthie Miachieo leaves behind 12 children, 29 grand children and five great grandchildren.
