Further adding context to the collection, Krome, a founding member of Kohima Press Club (KPC), said that he started penning his thoughts for his own consumption, out of because of the desperations and frustrations - but not depression, after the assassination of his elder Zekope Krome on August 15, 1987 in Kohima.

As expressed in the introduction of the book, “the poems were written mostly with thoughts of the Nagas, who had endured and experienced unaccountable sufferings and incidences during the last many unforgiveable and unforgettable decades, because of the evil forces against the peace and freedom loving Nagas,” explained Vishü Rita Krocha of PenThrill Publication House.

‘Beloved’ is the PenThrill’s 43rd book.
