As part of the Gandagi Mukt Bharat campaign, the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Mokokchung initiated a tree plantation drive at Mopungchuket Village in partnership with The Greensight Project where volunteers planted indigenous fruit bearing trees to mark the day. Gandagi Mukt Bharat is a week-long behavior change campaign of the government of India, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation that was launched on August 8 by the Prime Minister and will culminate on August 15.
