Pughoboto SDPB gives away award to villages and farmers

Pughoboto, December 12 (MExN): Encouraging 24 villages and farmers, Pughoboto Sub Division Planning Board (SDPB), Chairman SDPDB and MLA, Y. Vikheho Swu handed over awards to the winners of the Cleanest Village Award 2019, Best Village Council Award 2019, two Highest Paddy Harvest Award, Individual category and Village category and Sumi Aphuyemi Achievers 2019 under the LADF 2019-20 at the DB court hall, ADC Pughoboto on December 12.

Ghokimi village bagged the Pughoboto Cleanest Award 2019 who received Rs 5 Lakh with citation certificate. Ghathashi got the Best Village Council Award who received a cash award of Rs.50,000. This Best Village Council Award was started by this year 2019 to maintain the law and order and judiciously utilize development fund with transparency and accountability.

The survey carried out by SDAO Pughoboto Myanthung Patton, Highest Harvest Award both individual (Jhum and terrace) and Village category (based on household average) was awarded to the Yehato (Indv.) (Rs 10,000) and Chisholimi village (Rs.15,000), Paddy harvested which was measured at an average 120 tins per household respectively. Aphuyemi achievers Deborah Wotsa on Top 1 BA in sociology (NU) was also awarded Rs 10,000 with citation.

The MLA informed the house and villagers to be aware of the government guidelines while taking up the population census and enrollment of electoral. The house agreed to write a letter to the government for the upgradation of Pughoboto Adhoc Town Council to Urban Station. He also directed the ADC and Engineer to immediately to expedite the road renovation from Tukuliqa to Iphonumi.
