DIMAPUR, JULY 22 (MExN): The police are yet to apprehend the perpetrators of the ghastly rape and murder of a 20-year old girl which occurred at 3rd Mile (Airport Road), Dimapur on Wednesday last. Police though are on the trail of two possible suspects who have been identified and are absconding. The victim, Avino was raped and then murdered in her room on the night of Wednesday. Her lifeless body was discovered only the next morning with just a shawl covering her body and a towel thrown on her face. According to reliable sources the suspects in all probability were acquainted with the victim and may be nearby residents. Dimapur police assured they are on the trail of the suspects and all efforts are on to capture them.
