Kohima, May 24 (MExN): The review meeting of district Programme Co-ordinators/PDs and Programme Officers/BDOs for implementation of MGNREGA under the department of rural development was held at RD Conference Hall on May 24.
Addressing the meeting, Commissioner & Secretary, RD, Kevisa Kense, IAS impressed upon the officers to be more sincere and hardworking to achieve the desired goal and to fulfil the aspirations of the general public. He also appealed to the officers to make it a point to do something good wherever they are posted for the benefit of the rural section.
Kense further mentioned that Amrit Sarovar project has already been successfully implemented in the State and that Nagaland State is recognized as the 2nd best performing State in the country. Towards this end, he called upon the PDs and BDOs to utilize funds judiciously and on time so that the ministry can release more funds to the State for the better of the people.
During the meeting, powerpoint presentation were also highlighted on District Planning Indicators, GIS Planning and Amrit Sarovar, NMMS Application, Area Officer Application and Jal Doot Application.
Earlier, Additional Director & HoD, RD, K Inazhe Phuleshe delivered the welcome address while vote of thanks was proposed by Joint Director, RD, Anenla Jamir. The meeting was chaired by Joint Director, RD, Shuyhunle Nyenthong.
