•-Is the 62 year Indo-Naga-Burma conflict that has cost the lives of over 200,000 Nagas and thousands of Indian soldiers and Burmese soldiers- a private and personal issue that only P.V. Narasimha Rao, Th. Muivah and Isak Chishi Swu can resolve on the basis of their June 12, 1995 Paris meet? When Nagas have defied 15 Indian Prime Ministers beginning from Jawarhalal Nehru to the present Manmohan Singh, can they be bound to a single Narasimha Rao for a solution to the conflict? On the other hand, are the NNC, FGN and GPRN NSCN none entities in Naga history whose opinions have no place in a solution? Are Adino’s, Brigadier Sinnya’s, Khaplangs, General Kholis, General Viyalies and General Thinoselies nobody’s in Naga political history who cannot be allowed to express their opinion on the Indo-Naga conflict? Or what of the other thousands of Naga soldiers and civil workers who do not belong to your NSCN/GPRN faction but have sacrificed their whole lives for the Naga National cause? Do they have no right to express their opinions because they do not believe in your political ideology and strategy?
Were there no T. Aliba’s, Mhondamo’s, Visar’s, A.Z. Phizo’s and T. Sakhrie’s and many others who were already there in the national forefront and wrote all those memorandums and ultimatums to the British and Indians when you were still in your colleges? Yes, you have acknowledged them from time to time but your words and actions imply that only you and nobody else have contributed anything to the Naga national struggle and-that only you can resolve the conflict. In short, is the Naga national struggle the private property of only certain individuals and tribes? What do you mean by implying that only three individuals can resolve a conflict between three nations of millions and even over a billion people on the basis of your Paris Meet?
Nagas are not a people who can be threatened into submission by an impersonal Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP) - so called. Nagas are a people who always append their signatures on whatever they state and not through the name of a ministry without personal names. In summary, when we Nagas have collectively defied the mighty Ahom kingdom and other neighbor kingdoms for over 700 years and the mighty British Imperial Power and its Indian offspring for 115 years and 62 years consecutively; let nobody ever think that Nagas will bow down to some individuals who dare to impose their personal opinions and ideologies on the whole Nation.
As for my personal opinion, let the useless so called 14 year Cease fire and Peace Talks derail and crash into the Bay of Bengal so that the Indo-Naga-Burma conflict can be resolved by true patriots of Nagaland through open warfare.
