Enhancing the digital education system in the state, Nagaland’s School Education Adviso,r KT Sukhalu inaugurated a recording studio at the Directorate of School Education, Kohima on July 7. This recording studio is funded by Samagra Shiksha Nagaland.

Speaking on the occasion, Sukhalu said this recording studio will reach out to the students in all corner of the state. Touching on the difficult times in the wake of COVID 19 pandemic situation, Sukhalu said that depending on the nature of the situation “we should try to work out the system so that the students, society and public are not deprived.”

The advisor requested the teachers, especially the government teachers to take a house visit to parents and interact with them and students and also gather opinion from them on online learning.
 
Appeals GTs to submit details
Meanwhile, Sukhalu made an appeal to all the graduate teachers to submit the details for verification at the earliest “so that the department can work out the seniority list.”

After getting the details, the government will notify it and discrepancies if any found will also be addressed, he said.
After that, the process of promotion will start, Sukhalu said.

“Unless they (Graduate teachers) give us the details we cannot verify the seniority,” he said.
 
‘Appreciate, understand difficulties of each other’
Kevileno Angami, Special secretary to School Education and SCERT Nagaland said “Today is a red letter day for the school education department and also for the state. I think we are the first department in the state to be having a recording studio like this.”

She also appealed the teachers and students to judiciously use “whatever is recorded from here for our students and whatever is broadcasted from here.”

On COVID 19 pandemic situation, she said “We have to appreciate and understand the difficulties of each other- parents, teachers as well as students and whatever facility is available to us, should optimize and use it.”

School education principal director Shanavas C said that the digital education system may continue for sometimes because of COVID 19 situation. “We have to march ahead with the rest of the world and let this be a beginning step for the change” he said.
