Kohima, November 9 (MExN): A rehearsal on counting of votes for bye-election to the 14 Southern Angami I (ST) Assembly Constituency conducted on November 3 was carried out in the DC's Conference Hall, Kohima on November 9. 

A DIPR report stated that the District Level Master Trainers demonstrated the counting procedures in the presence of Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland Abhijit Sinha along with Additional CEO, Moa Aier, General Observer, S K Pradhan and Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Mohammed Ali Shihab A, the Counting Supervisors, Counting Assistants and Micro Observers 

DC & DEO Kohima, Mohammed Ali Shihab A highlighted on the importance of counting procedures to be followed as per the guidelines and also called upon the counting officials to maintain decorum throughout the counting process.

Returning Officer and SDO (C) Ruopfukuotuo Noudi also appraised the officials to take serious note of section 128 in the Representation of the People Act 1951 "maintenance of secrecy of voting" and to perform their assigned duties as per the ECI guidelines. He highlighted on the other procedures to be carried out on the counting day.
