Repetition of errors is not a mistake. Its negligence

Since past two years, students across different colleges in Nagaland which is affiliated under Nagaland University are facing the same frustrating reality especially errors in marksheet. This might be dismissed as silly mistakes, however it gives unnecessary stress and pressure to the students community. A simple error in their marksheet can have a huge impact in their career like delay in application for higher studies, scholarship etc. The matter to be concern is that such silly mistakes occur year after year pointing to systematic carelessness than accidental slip up. Committing such silly mistakes every year is disheartening which reflect the lack of attention to such basic administrative responsibilities. The students’ community should not suffer because of someone else’s lack of care. The University must adopt strict verification protocols, train administrative staff thoroughly and hold department accountable for repeated failure. A few layer of proper verification and digitalized system can greatly reduce such errors.

Students should not be forced to run from office to office spending hundreds and thousands just to correct mistakes they didn’t commit. Their time, energy, and future deserve more respect. Mistakes may happen, but when they become routine, they call for reflection and reform. It is my hope that the university will take proactive steps to ensure smoother, more reliable administrative processes moving forward.
