DIMAPUR, NOCTOBER 20 (MExN): Dimapur Police today refuted rumours on social media about impending large scale security operations in the district. The Dimapur Police issued a notice terming the rumour as “misinformation” and stated that “no such security exercise has been sanctioned by any official authority.” It therefore urged that circulation of such misinformation be desisted immediately. Dimapur Police further cautioned that it is a criminal offence to spread such concocted news with the mischievous intent of instilling insecurity among the public.
