‘Resistance to take second dose creating gap’

Tuensang DTF for COVID-19 meeting held

Tuensang, February 24 (MExN): Tuensang District Task Force for COVID-19 held a meeting with DC and Chairman DTF Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant as the chairman at DC's conference hall, Tuensang on February 24.

The members expressed concern about the resistance of people to take the second vaccination creating a gap between vaccination figures between the first and second dose. The house decided to find out the reasons causing the resistance, stated a DIPR report.

The house discussed collecting the data of teachers in the district and the attendance records of the eligible students who are yet to be vaccinated.

The Chief Medical Officer, Tuensang expressed the need to conduct four health camps at targeted villages with COVID-19 vaccination simultaneously and the DTF to assist the said camp. The house was updated with the COVID status and vaccination status of the district.

The district immunization officer updated the house on the IMI and IPPI vaccination drive in the district, the Chairman DTF advised the concerned department to include COVID vaccination along with the drive.
