Kohima, April 9 (MExN): Minister for Higher & Technical Education & Tribal Affairs and Minister incharge for Peren District on COVID-19, Temjen Imna Along visited CHC Jalukie with Advisor for Water Resource Department, Namri Nchang on April 9 for a review meeting with the doctors and staff to assess the availability of resources and measures adopted to fight against COVID-19.


In a meeting with the medical staffs, District Administration Peren and Police, the Minister in his short speech extended gratitude to all concerned and stated that if any positive COVID-19 case is detected in Nagaland it will become a burden and urged the gathering to seek God's protection.


He appealed to the people to be independent while accepting that we are unprepared for any pandemic and so with the minimum resources he called upon all to give out maximum output. He urged the Medical staff to make use of the resources to fight against the global pandemic COVID-19 by creating more awareness in the district even at the grassroot level. He further encouraged the medical staff to be more vigilant while dealing with the patient.

 
Meanwhile, Advisor for Water Resources, Namri Nchang lauded the Medical staffs of CHC Jalukie as well as those who assigned for duty in the CHC for their overall performance. The Minister visited the Isolation ward and inspected the Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) supplied.


Earlier, Dr Dennis Hangsing CMO Peren, Dr Nukshisangla DIO & Dr Supongmenla Dy CMO Peren also highlighted about the District preparedness for tackling COVID-19, its action plan and also gave a count of the available equipments received so far by the Medical team.
