My eyes soaked with tears to hear the sad demise of my good friend, Mr. Anant Pai, the former editor of Amar Chitra Katha & Tinkle comics on Thursday, 24th February 2011, at the age of 91 years and he was lovingly known as Uncle Pai. I first met Mr. Anant Pai at a children’s quiz competition held at Mumbai and then had regular meetings with him either at his office at Mahalaxmi Chambers or when he used to visit our school for official work. He was a very friendly and humble person. His presence made both Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle comics flourish and also it became one of the most educative comic series of all times. We will miss the person like him. May his soul rest in peace.
