Rotary Club Kohima builds toilets at GMS Pfutseromi

Kohima, October 14 (MExN): Rotary Club Kohima along with the Government Primary School, Pfutseromi Village, the adopted School of Rotary Club Kohima, held an inauguration programme of toilets at GMS Pfutseromi Village on October 14.
The project was sponsored by the Rotary Club Kohima in collaboration with RC Ghatkopar, Mumbai, stated a press release received here.
In the programme, Rtn. Prof. Rosemary Dzuvichu, Charter President R C Kohima & Advisor NMA was the guest speaker. In her speech, she highlighted the activities taken up by the Rotary Club Kohima in the past few years, and also the club activities to endeavor to provide social services to the society like sponsoring patient suffering from heart problems, provide basic amenities to school students from economically weak background, assist in medical camps and also encourages water harvesting.
As an Advisor to Naga Mother Association (NMA), she spoke on women empowerment and the need to build up women welfare for a better society. She encourages the gathering to build up the economy and also challenges the students, youths and teachers to start writing stories and folklores that are always associated with our culture and village.
The Rotary Club Kohima officials were led by Dr. Neisatuo Mero, President, Rotary Club Kohima and was accompanied with Kevino Savino, Secretar, Rotary Club Kohima, Amenla, Treasure, Rotary Club Kohima; Pakinrichapbo, Advocate, Human Right Law Network, Nagaland Unit.
In their maiden visit to the adopted school, they donated reading materials like magazines, selected news papers and a large number of books for the school library. Apart from that the club distributed sweets and snacks to the school children.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Neisatuo Mero, President, Rotary Club Kohima welcome address was delivered by Menyilhi Mero, Chairman, Village Council, Pfutseromi.
A brief history of the school was propounded by Kewekhro Mero, Head Teacher, GMS Pfutseromi and Vibi Mero, President, Pfutseromi Students’ Union in the vote of thanks acknowledged the Rotary Club Kohima for their contribution and support towards the school.
