The Royal Enfield Mokokchung (REM) Club launched its “All Nagaland District Tour, 2024” on Monday, September 16 flagged off from BOC Mokokchung. The tour, comprising eight bikers, will cover all 16 districts of Nagaland, spanning a total distance of approximately 13,000 kilometers. The theme of the tour is “Exploring ‘The Routes’ & ‘The Roots’ of Nagaland.”

Speaking about the tour, Imtiyanger, Deputy Chief of Royal Enfield Mokokchung and Convenor of the tour, explained the objectives. “The main aim of this tour is to learn more about the diverse cultures, people, lifestyles, and landscapes of our own Nagaland,” he said. He emphasized that the bikers will focus on two key aspects: exploring the routes that connect the districts and understanding the roots of Nagaland’s cultural heritage.

Under the theme, “Exploring ‘The Routes’ & ‘The Roots’ of Nagaland,” the bikers will assess the road conditions and infrastructure development (or degradation) between the districts. At the same time, they will seek to uncover the origins of the state’s various cultures, understanding how these traditions have evolved over time.

Imtiyanger noted that this tour offers an opportunity to gain a deeper appreciation of Nagaland’s cultural and geographical richness—something that many citizens may not have fully experienced. “We believe that through this tour, we will get a glimpse of our very own cultures, people, lifestyle, and the beautiful sceneries of Nagaland, which almost every citizen of Nagaland lacks,” he added.

The tour was officially flagged off by Tongpang Jamir, Treasurer of Royal Enfield Mokokchung.
