Runguzu-Thuvopisu get-together on December 14.
Kohima, December 14 (MExN): The inter village get-together programme between Runguzu, Runguzu Nasa and Thuvopisu was held at Kiwi Farm House, Laka, Thuvopisu under Phek district on December 11.
More than 180 persons turned up at the programme.
The programme was addressed by various officers and individuals as resource persons including Razouvolie Dozo, Deputy Commissioner, Phek and Vekhoyi, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chiephobozou.
Dozo and Vekhoyi shared their concern regarding low COVID vaccination status in the district and urged the members present to come forward to take the vaccination to protect the people against the virus.
Dozo also stressed on importance of protecting the environment and strives to make the best use of natural resources to improve economy of the people.
The meeting resolved to protect and preserve the natural resources, flora and fauna and to uphold the CPO resolution against burning of forest.
It also resolved to apprise the concerned department and contractors to ensure timely completion and quality workmanship of ongoing road construction from Runguzu Nasa junction to Phek road. The meeting also resolved to encourage organic farming and total ban of using chemicals in farming in any form.
The meeting discussed measures to strengthen cordial relationship between the two villages as maintained since time immemorial.
The three village council chairman expressed gratitude to Vesato Dozo, Director, SIRD Nagaland and family for hosting the programme and Razouvolie Dozo for all the other logistic arrangements.
