Peren, December 13 (MExN): The XXII Local Board of Administration (LBA) meeting of Sainik School Punglwa was held on December 11.
It was presided over by Major General Pankaj Kaushik, COS 3 Corps and LBA Chairman. The meeting was also attended by Mesetsozu Wezah, Additional Director, Directorate of School Education; Elu Ndang, parents representative, Col Anurag Mahajan, Col GS (Edn), Lt Col M K Meitei, Administrative Officer and Lt Col P Davidson, Vice Principal.
The release said that LBA meeting is held on regular intervals wherehte house discusses and elaborates on major aspects pertaining to development of the school and academic standpoint.
The General Officer on his arrival was briefed about the school by the Principal, Group Captain Prasun Basu. Post meeting, the LBA Chairman inspected the construction site of the staff quarters and visited the swimming pool.
The officer while addressing the cadets of the school reminded the cadets that the school has begun to send cadets to the National Defence Academy expressed hope to see the number grow every year.
In his speech, the Chairman also motivated the cadets to join the armed forces which would not only transform their lives but give them great exposure to the world outside and a stable life.
Concluding his speech, he appreciated the cadets for being sensitive to the environmental problems and the effort they have taken to keep the environment clean through cleanliness campaign in and around the school.
