Sainik School Punglwa holds Diwali Mela

Peren, November 1 (MExN): Sainik School, Punglwa celebrated Diwali, the festival of lights with vigor and zeal on October 26. Sanavas C, IAS, Principal Director, Directorate of School Education graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and inaugurated the stalls in the presence of Gp Capt Prasun Basu, Principal of the school.

As part of the celebration, an Inter House Stall Display Competition was organised wherein, each house set up their respective stalls and organised games of different capacity. Raffle draw, tombola and the Diwali Mela Trophy was also also held. The aim of the event was to develop skills of organisation, innovativeness and team work among the cadets, at the same time endorsing the secular spirit of the nation. 

In the competition, Patkai House emerged as the winner followed by Saramati and Tizu house in second and third positions respectively.
