Mokokchung, December 6 (MExN): District level Management Committee for Sakhi-One Stop Centre (OSC) meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner & Chairman Sakhi-OSC Mokokchung Limawabang Jamir. The objective of the meeting was to strengthen the convergence mechanism for addressing violence against women.
The DC stressed on the roles and responsibilities of the convergence departments to act and perform as per the laid down guidelines and implement it effectively. He also emphasized on the importance of all round sensitization on the issue of gender based violence.
SDO (C) & Nodal Officer Sakhi OSC Mokokchung Dharam Raj IAS challenged the members & district level Management Committee to sensitize through Departmental seminar/events to promote SAKHI OSC and its services.
Additional SP Police and Nodal Officer of Sakhi OSC Mokokchung also assured the support of the police department.
The Central Administrator Wangshinaro Yaden, SAKHI OSC Mokokchung gave a presentation of the inception and functioning of Sakhi OSC in the district.
