Kohima, November 5 (MExN): To create awareness on the dos and don’ts in the fight against corona virus and to sensitise students on environmental issues, water conservation, importance of home study and reading, nutrition and health concerns, the Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland organized various online competitions for youth and eco clubs in government schools during September and October.
According to a press release issued by Vekhozo, State Coordinator, Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland, the activities aided students in being productive and in adapting the new system of learning during the closure of schools due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Competitions were conducted in various categories at the Block, District and State level. Certificates of recognition were awarded to all winners at the District and Block level, while State level winners were given cash prizes along with certificate.
In the Primary Students (Drawing) category Khrisnadi, Class 4, GMS Disaguphu Dimapur won first position; Elementary Students. (Elocution) was won by Meneliu, Class 7, GHS Diphupar B, Dimapur and in the Secondary & Higher Secondary (Essay Writing) Ochirenla Class 12 (Sc) Senayangba GHSS Ungma, Mokokchung emerged the winner.
The state level winner in essay writing was Ochirenla, Class 12 (Sc), Senayangba GHSS Ungma, Mokokchung; Elocution was won by Meneliu, Class 7 GHS Diphupar B Dimapur; and in Drawing Khrisnadi, Class 4, GMS Disaguphu, Dimapur came first.
