Sazo calls for change in ‘attitude’

Kohima | October 11 : Parliamentary Secretary, Social Welfare, Child & Women Development Chotisuh Sazo said the state government’s inability to provide employment is due to the immense growth of educated youth in the state thereby programmes such as year of youth empowerment and entrepreneurs are being initiated to encourage the educated unemployed to develop self employment.
Addressing the gathering during the during the Queensberry foundation held today at Kohima, Sazo said Nagas have been inactive for a long period and said, attitude to be changed now.
He also spoke on work ethics, punctuality, honesty, and to respect the laws of the land and also to develop a beneficial culture for everyone to improve the economy of the state.
Queensberry Foundation is an NGO based, incepted in the year 2004, Kohima is believed to be the 13th branch and is founded by K. Aaron Quinker.
The objective of the foundation is to establish schools, colleges, libraries, amusement parks and other educational, socio and religious institution and also to promote cottage and small scale industries and assist the educated unemployed youth. It also aims to act as an agent in conducting Insurance business of any corporate body.
The programme was chaired by Vilasietuo Metsieo, Branch manager, Kohima while Rev. Dr. T.R. Angami Metsieo, (AG Church Kohima) pronounced invocation.
Aaron. K. Quinker, CEO delivered welcome address and Lideno Ezung, executive secretary, Queensberry foundation, proposed vote of thanks.
