Zunheboto, December 8 (MExN): The 6th Triennial Women Conference of Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (SBAK), Aizuto concluded today at Yezashi Village Baptist Church under the theme 'Be Reconciled with God.'
The conference was held from December 6 to 8. Church leaders and delegates from villages, towns and cities attended the conference from 95 units.

As per a press release form Bombo K Yeptho, Media Supervisor, ZTSBC; on the last day, the service began with invocation pronounced by Inakhu Chishi, Youth Secretary SBAK-Aizuto.

Pukhayi Sumi, Advisor Food and Civil Supplies, Legal Metrology and Consumers Protection, Taxes, Government of Nagaland was the guest speaker of the event.

He started by asking all to ponder upon whether “we are living a God pleasing life in speech, actions and beliefs.”
Taking an example from the book of Genesis, Sumi said that Abraham lived a God pleasing life and therefore he was blessed. Everyone wants to live a happy and prosperous life but the point is most of us are not living the way God wants us to, he said.

He encouraged all that we need to produce good seed for a better generation, while adding that behind every successful man, there is a woman. Pukhayi held that it was “far more beneficial to educate one female child than to educate ten male child.”

Sumi exhorted that being honest was far richer than physical beauty and urged the womenfolk to be true to one self and God will be pleased with them.

He said to the Sumi community in general that there is a reward for those who earn their livelihood through honest and faithful means.

Songs were presented by Hoshepu Baptist Church and Anderson Theological College. Phihoto Khala, Executive Chairman highlighted the changes made in the SBAK constitution, while expressing hope that new rules and regulations would strengthen the Association.

He made an appeal to all church leaders to co operate with the new set of regulations. Reverend Mulato Chishi, Executive Secretary, SBAK-Aizuto delivered the message on the conference theme “Be Reconciled with God.”
He called upon the gathering to reconcile with God for God reconciled with humanity the day Christ shed His blood on the cross of Calvary sharing the from the Book of 2 Corinthians 5: 18 – 21.

“A person is considered spiritually death if he/she have not received Christ as personal Lord and Savior. When a person accepts Christ they would be brought to light from the darkness and free themselves from the wrath of God. By reconciling with God, we can live a victorious life.”

He preached that “there is one God and one mediator and that mediator is Christ himself who gives us hope. Under the Heavens and on Earth, there is no other name other than Jesus Christ that can save us.” He gave an alter call where many responded and accepted Christ as their “personal Lord and Savior.” The programme concluded with Reverend Chishi praying the benediction. The release informed that 2020 Youth Conference Triennial will be hosted by Suruhuto Town Medical Colony Baptist Church.
