SBI Bazar Branch: Atleast 40 samples screened

Following the report about a former employee at the Dimapur SBI, Bazar Branch, testing COVID-19 positive in Guwahati, atleast 40 samples have been screened by TrueNat.

The employee was recently transferred from the Bazar Branch to Guwahati on July 10 and had moved from Dimapur on July 12. According to health officials, samples of 40 persons associated with the branch directly or indirectly were collected and put through the routine screening test by TrueNat on July 19. It included samples of 38 employees and two other associates.  Atleast two samples, though it was not officially confirmed, were sent for confirmatory RT-PCR tests. Its results were being awaited as on Monday evening.  Meanwhile, it was learnt that samples of NIA officials are also being screened as a precautionary measure. As on July 20, around 25 samples have so far been screened by TrueNat intermittently, over the past few weeks, with all testing negative.
