DIMAPUR, November 1 (MExN): As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, State Bank of India, Dimapur donated a conference table to Anma Integrated Development Association (AIDA) Dimapur on Tuesday.
General Manager SBI, LHO, B J Sharma, who was the chief guest, said that the initiative of the AIDA in community developments works would prepare the young minds to start aspiring for higher levels in their respective fields. He said that the knowledge and skills being taught by AIDA would help the youths in gaining confidence.
Assistant director AIDA Dimapur Bro. Sunny gave a brief working nature of AIDA which stands for Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh Integrated Development Association. He said AIDA was a development wing of Don Bosco Society primarily engaged in community development working with village folk particularly through women. AIDA promotes self help groups and links them with banks for financial assistance. Sunny said that other areas of the Association’s target include school dropouts to engage them in productive skills. It also assists farmers who have more than 2 bighas of land in starting tea gardens.
