Mon, July 14 (MExN): The 11 IRB camp in Aboi under Mon district has been declared a containment zone after detection of a COVID-19 positive case. Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K notified that a COVID-19 positive case was detected at the quarantine centre in 11 IRB camp Aboi on July 13. Therefore in the interest of public health, public safety and public order in Aboi sub-Division and in exercise of the powers conferred under section 144 of the criminal procedure Code 1973, the DC on July 14 has prohibited movement of public within 100m radius of the Containment Zone at 11 IRB Aboi camp. “This order will come into force with immediate effect and shall remain in force till further orders. Any one violating the foresaid order will be liable for punishment under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code,” the DC’s order stated.
