Chümoukedima, January 29 (MExN): A sensitization workshop for Administrators & Urban Development Officers on the Cleanest ULB/Ward Award 2022, SMB-U 2.0 and AMRUT 2.0 was held at Chümoukedima Town Hall on January 29.

According to a DIPR report, on the occasion, delivering the keynote address, Principal Secretary, Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, I. Himato Zhimomi stated that the most important thing is to start from an individual or household level, the work should start 'today' to achieve zero dump waste from an individual, household and town level to start reducing the waste per capita.

He said that the challenges we have is to achieve zero dump waste and it can be acquired only through proper implementation to achieve the desired goal.

Structure and Parameters for the Cleanest ULB/Ward Award 2022 was explained by LIFE NGO, Dimapur.

In the second session, a topic on ‘Sensitization on the guidelines of the SBM 2.0’ was presented by SMB-U Team and ‘Sensitization on the guidelines of the AMRUT 2.0’ was presented by AMRUT Team, followed by discussion hour. 

Vote of thanks was delivered by Director, Urban Development, S Takatuba Aier and the programme was chaired by Under Secretary, Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Rongsenmenla.
