SET-NU conducts seminar on ‘rule of law and criminal justice system’

Dimapur, March 12 (MExN): The School of Engineering & Technology, Nagaland University, Dimapur (SET-NU) organized a seminar on ‘rule of law and criminal justice system’ on March 12 with Talitsungba Ao, Advocate, President, Nagaland Bar Association as the speaker. 

A press release issued by the SET-NU, the seminar held at the Conference Hall, Academic Building, DC Court junction was organized mainly to develop awareness raising programme and educational programme on the rule of law and criminal justice system. 

Advocate Tali highlighted on the meaning of the’ Rule of Law’, Equality before the Law, Protection of certain rights regarding freedom of Speech, Protection in respect of conviction for offences, protection of life and personal liberty, Protection against arrest and detention in certain cases.

The programme was chaired by Er Ayangla Jamir, welcome address by Dr Rajkrishna Mondal. It concluded with vote of thanks by Kahoshe Sumi, Assistant Registrar, SET-NU.
