Appraising the problem faced by the party in Nagaland, the 2008 election tragedy was because of the “pre-election defection of JD (U) party MLAs and office bearers to other parties”.
It said that the party was running without a single District President until the JD (U) party was re-organised this time. The Party expressed hopes that with the newly elected State & District level Officer Bearers, the party has re-organised and will take shape soon in the State.
The State Unit JD (U) further impressed upon national leaders of the party including Sharad Yadav for the party continued support to the people of Nagaland and whatever the State Government sought for any Central assistance, including the present twin problem of drought & swine flu, the JD (U) being an alliance to DAN government in the State.
