Zunheboto, December 27 (MExN): MLA Er Picto Shohe graced the 60th session of the Shena Old Student Union as chief guest on December 27.
A press release issued by Abeto Sumi, Press secretary to the MLA stated that speaking on the occasion under the theme “Distinctive of Sumi Identity”, he encouraged the student community to uphold the practice of cultural activities in order to preserve our Identity and cautioned the young generation not to sail away from the fore fathers habit of honesty and sincerity.
He further stressed on the importance of having a good educational foundation which will enable a person to be responsible and self dependent in the society.
He reminded the students of the words 'obedience and blessings' in the Bible and ask them to be obedient to their parents and elders for assured blessings from God. He also appreciated the village elders and church leaders for all the good things happening in and around the village for peaceful coexistence and a brighter future.
