Shreyas Group presents ‘Ticket to Hornbill’ will take place from October 18 to 21, at RCEMPA, Jotsoma near Kohima.

Ticket to Hornbill-India’s Biggest Band Battle 2024 is the curtain raiser to the 25th edition of the Hornbill Music Festival, Nagaland, according to Theja Meru, chairman Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA). The live performance rounds of the Ticket to Hornbill will take place on October 18 and 19, where 30 shortlisted bands will compete. Out of these, 7 selected bands will perform for the grand finale on October 21.

The live performance rounds will be judged by Arpito Gope, Moanungsang, and Viveick Rajagopalan, while the jury for the grand finale will include Subir Malik, Sonam Kalra, Arpito Gope, Suraj Mani, and Moanungsang.

A total prize money of Rs 4 million has been set for this ‘Ticket to Hornbill’- India’s Biggest Band Battle’ with 1st prize at Rs 2 million, 2nd- Rs 1 million and Rs 5 lakh for third prize. Musical equipment worth Rs 5 lakh will also be given to individual prizes. Coca cola will be the official beverage partner and Sennheiser as audio partner.

The live rounds on October 18 and 19 will start at 12 noon daily, and entry to the venue is free. All are welcome to attend and support their favorite bands. For the grand finale on October 21, an entry fee of Rs 50 will be charged per ticket, which can be purchased at the venue.

Except for official vehicles with passes, all other vehicles must be parked at the Kohima Science College ground. For vehicle security and traffic regulation, the organizers have outsourced this task to the Phezhu Youth Organisation Jotsoma.

A service charge of Rs 20 will be applied per vehicle. No food items, alcohol, weapons, sharp objects, knives, sticks, rods, or laser lights will be allowed into the concert venue on any day. Individuals and bags may be checked at the gates. The organizers reserve the right of admission for the all days. Food stalls will be available at the venue.
