Chennai, August 25 (MExN): The Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (formerly Saveetha University) held its 15th Annual E-Convocation on August 24 at University Campus’ MM Convention Centre.
843 eligible and meritorious students were conferred with the degrees, which include 20Ph.D scholars, 224Medicine, 81BE/BTech, 358other Health science, 136 dentistry and 17 Law Graduates, a press release informed.
Dr NM Veeriyan, Chancellor and founder, who presided over the function and gave presidential address, congratulated the young graduates and advised them to rise to the “occasion and make their parents and the college proud by achieving greater career prospects.”
He also lauded the rank holders and the graduates and attributed these achievements to the tireless efforts of the faculty as well as the students, the release said.
Prof. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Vice Chancellor shared the growth initiatives and achievements of the institution in his annual report and also urged the graduates to always aim high and dream deep, it added.
The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru.Edappadi K Palaniswami, who was the Chief Guest for the convocation, delivered the certificate online to the students, the release further informed.
