SKKD informs on helpline for Nagas in Delhi

Dimapur, March 25 (MExN): The Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu Delhi (SKKD) has notified all the Sümis in Delhi to be in touch with the union and elders during the current situation owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Taking note of the racial discrimination being faced by the Northeast people in the nation’s capital, the SKKD has advised all Sümis and Nagas in Delhi to refrain from movements unless necessary. It also advised not to react immediately to discriminatory acts, but simply note down the person’s vehicle number or get a video or picture of that person and report it to the nearest police station or call Special Police Unit North East Region (SPUNER) helpline 1093 which is available 24/7.

The Union warned that racial discrimination against North East people will not be tolerated by the union and the Nagas.
