SMC organizes inter higher secondary extempore competition
Winners along with participants and faculty after the inter higher secondary school extempore competition held at Sakus Mission College on November 29.
Dimapur, December 1 (MExN): Sakus Mission College (SMC) organized an inter Higher Secondary Extempore Competition on November 29.
A first of its kind activity for the college, 10 higher secondary schools from Dimapur participated. Out of the 20 participants, Kavitoli Swu representing Little Star Higher Secondary School bagged the first position, Vitoka from Eden Higher Secondary School bagged the second position and Renla representing Lima Aier Higher Secondary School was adjudged the third position.
The winners were awarded certificates, trophies and cash prize of Rs 10000, Rs7000,and Rs5000 respectively.
Panel of judges for the competition were Leonard Aier, Principal City Law College, Dimapur; Along Longkumer, founder editor, The Morung Express and Kekhreile-Ü Mezhü, Advocate Dimapur Legal Services Authority.
The programme was chaired by Narola Jamir, Assistant Professor, Department of Education followed by invocation done by Amenla Aier, Chaplain, SMC. Welcome address was delivered by Dr Arenla Aier, Principal SMC. Other highlights of the programme included documentary of Sakus Mission College, special number was presented by Asotasen of Class-11, SMC. Insights were shared by Leonard Aier.
The programme concluded with benediction pronounced by Tiajungla, Asst Professor, Department of Political Science.
