‘Society is nothing without youth’

Medziphema, December 29 (MExN): The Medziphema Town Sümi Students' Union (MTSSU) held its 23rd Annual Session on December 29. 

The flag was hoisted by J Akato Chishi, Senior Technical Assistant, Department of Entomology, SASRD, Nagaland University as inaugural special guest. Chishi in his speech said that society is nothing without youth as youth is the backbone of society; the society will crumble without the unity of the youth. “Work harder and be dedicated to succeed in life,” he said while stating that travelling is one of the best mean to gain knowledge. 

A press release from Tonato Rochill, General Secretary, MTSSU stated that the programme was invocated by Sukhato Achumi, Pastor, Medziphema Town Sümi Baptist Church. 

The one day session was concluded by Hutoli Chishi as the guest speaker for the evening programme. Speaking on the topic ‘Rooting for wisdom,’ Hutoli spoke about knowing and putting God first in our everyday life. She also emphasized on the importance of the dialect and to preserve it by speaking and practising it daily.
