Soyim Students’ Union organized a seminar on career guidance, skill development & entrepreneurship in collaboration with Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India at Babu Tzubo Ampitheatre, Ungma, Mokokchung, on June 27.

Dhritishree Bordalaim MGNF, Mokokchung District. MSDE, GoI and Sentilong Ozukum, SDO (Civil), Mokokchung were the resource persons.

In the first session which was on skill development and entrepreneurship, Dhritishree Bordalai spoke on ‘skill training avenues in Nagaland’ and in the second session on Career Guidance resource person, Sentilong Ozukum, spoke on ‘education and career in a world of artificial intelligence.’

Around 250 Suyim students from Class 8 to Post graduate participated in the seminar. According to Moatemsu, President, SST, the seminar was organized with an aim to guide the students in choosing their future paths and to also equip them with know-how on what careers one can choose by using their skills. He also thanked the two resource persons and the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, GoI for helping the young minds in finding their career paths.

The seminar was moderated by Tiarenla, Assistant Culture Secretary, SST, Moatemsu, president, SST gave the welcome address while Longshi, Education Secretary, SST pronounced the vote of thanks.
