The St Thomas Mission Society continued its ‘Food for Security’ COVID-19 relief programme with the 13th phase of the drive conducted on July 19 in Dimapur.
DIMAPUR, JULY 19 (MExN): The St Thomas Mission Society Dimapur, in collaboration with MGM College, MGM School & MGOS Church distributed food kits with essential items to families affected by the COVID-19 lockdown in Dimapur.
Mission Society Secretary, Fr Dr PS Varghese and Rev Fr Gemcy Eappen led the distribution along with the Church managing committee members and women volunteers of the church.
The Secretary expressed gratitude to all the well wishers for sponsoring the essential items for distribution, especially to Thomas John (MGOS Church), Koushik (Voyage Studio), and Boban Kutty (Kohima). He further expressed special thanks to Manish Aggarwal for his logistic support.
Further, the society thanked the MGMHSS, Craft teachers and students for making paper covers for packing.
This is the 13th phase of mission society's 'Food for Security' COVID-19 relief programme. This phase reached out to 30 beneficiaries and a total of 930 food kits have been distributed so far.
