Zhopa Movi wins best lifter title

Kohima, November 14 (MExN): Under the aegis of the Nagaland Strongman & Fitness Association (NSFA) a state level first class Dead Lift competition was held on November 13 at Ciekhan Fitness Gym, Kohima.

According to a press release issued by NSFA General Secretary, Vechita Khesoh, altogether 38 participants from 13 Gyms across the state of Nagaland took part in the day-long event.

Zhokventi Tsongs of Kayina Gym crowned as the Champion under 60 Kg category while Dapa Domeh of Zumu Gym stood runner up.

Zhopao Movi of Zumu Gym Kohima was the champion in the 70 Kg category with a stunning lift of 190 Kgs while, Vecibu Rhakho was the runner up.

The current National Gold medalist and defending Cross Fit Champion of Nagaland, Vizobeilie Punyu of Glex Appeal Gym, Kohima was crowned as the Champion under 80 Kg category by lifting 240 Kgs while Mukhesh Kumar Das of Universal Gym, Dimapur lifted 200 Kgs to lift the runner up title.

Kekhriesetuo Mechulho of Ciekhan Fitness Gym, Kohima lifted a whopping 240 Kgs to set an easy win under 90 Kg categoty while Pelesetso Khate of The Home Gym, Dimapur lifted 220 Kgs and won the runner up title.

The reigning Nagaland Wrestling Association Champion Venuzo Dawhuo of Chisel Gym, Kohima lifted 245 Kgs under 100 Kg category and was awarded the Champion title.

Under 100+ Kg category, Tsuknungakum Jamir of Flex Appeal Gym, Kohima set the highest record of the event by lifting 250 Kgs to win the Champion title while young Star 16-year-old Kevidi Linyu aka Panda of Amplified Gym, Kohima, lifted 225 Kgs to win the runner up title.

Meanwhile, Zhopao Movi of Zumu Gym, Kohima, was awarded the Best Lifter of the event.

All the winners were accorded with cash prizes along with citations. The day event was sponsored by Mez & Co and PHED.

The organizers conveyed their gratitude to all participants, event officials, managers and coaches for making the event a successful one. They further expressed gratitude to the sponsors for their generosity.
