Kohima, March 17 (MExN): Swathchta Pakhwada under Swachh Bharat Mission was observed from March 1 – 16 at Government Middle School L Khel, Bayavü Hill Higher Secondary School, Oking Christian School, Mewi Higher Secondary School, Christ King Higher Secondary School and Thinuovicha Memorial Higher Secondary School.
A signature campaign for green pledge was initiated by Mahila Shakti Kendra- DLCW Kohima, State Resource Centre for Women (SRCW), Nagaland Adolescents Girls Club (NAGC) and Sakhi-One Stop Centre Kohima, Sakhi-One Stop Centre Dimapur under the aegis of Nagaland State Social Welfare Board (NSSWB). Meanwhile a cleanliness and plantation drive was also held at Sakhi- One Stop Centre Kohima and Dimapur. The primary objective of the campaign was to achieve universal sanitation and hygiene and to eliminate open defecation. More than 1000 students participated in the campaign and took the pledge. The resource person for the campaign were Kesoneinuo Kense (District Coordinator,MSK), Vikeduozo Sorhie (District Coordinator, MSK), Khriezotuolie Chase (Coordinator,NAGC), Vilakhonuo Kiewhuo (Coordinator, NAGC), Manlee Manphuro (Coordinator, NAGC).
